Executive Learning Program - Understanding Takaful conducted on the 5th of May, 2016
IBA's Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance and Pak Qatar Takaful conducted a basic level course on "Understanding Takaful", on the 5th of May, 2016 at the City Campus IBA. The course covered the basics of Takaful, its business model and the Shariah guidelines associated with it. The course further dwell upon the intricate di erences between Conventional Insurance and Takaful with the help of practical examples. The primary objective of this training was to build solid knowledge and understanding of Takaful for the participants
This course was conducted by Mufti Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, who's the Head of Shariah Compliance at Pak Qatar Family Takaful. Mufti Shakir is an M.A. in Arabic and has completed Takahassus Fil Ifta.
The course was well attended by a number of senior officials from different industries and backgrounds.
