INCEIF Openhouse in Collaboration with CEIF
The International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia conducted as Open House session with students and professionals at the IBA City Campus, Karachi on Wednesday, 7th September 2016. INCEIF, known as the Global University of Islamic Finance, is a reputed international university in Malaysia dedicated to education and research in Islamic Finance.
The session was conducted by Associate Professor Datuk Mohamed Eskander Shah Mohd Rasid, the Deputy Director of INCEIF, and attended by around 35 undergraduate and graduate students and working professionals from various institutes and companies. Prof. Eskander introduced INCEIF to the students, explained the advantages of pursuing post graduate studies in Malaysia and highlighted the growing demand for Islamic banking and finance graduates in Pakistan, Malaysia and elsewhere.
Prof. Eskander collected resumes from the interested students and answered their specific queries, including those regarding INCEIF research assistantships and funding for PhD students, admissions, acceptance rates and criteria in the Msc and PhD programs, work permit visas after graduation, curriculum and duration of the programs, career placements of past INCEIF graduates from Pakistan and potential opportunities for Shariah students at INCEIF and ISRA (International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic finance). He also added that INCEIF is a partner of IBA CEIF and the INCEIF faculty will also teach in IBA's upcoming MS Islamic Banking and Finance program.
