February 25, 2016: IBA CEIF hosted a Meeting; Dr. Zamir Iqbal from World Bank with representatives from Takaful Companies

Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) at IBA hosted a meeting of Dr. Zamir Iqbal from World Bank and Mr. Haseeb Ullah Siddiqui from Islamic Development Bank with the Takaful companies representatives to discuss the current scenario and challenges of the industry in Pakistan.

There was a thorough discussion on the recent developments and how well the Takaful companies have responded to the changing dynamics of the Industry. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Zamir Iqbal highlighted the importance and role of CEIF with respect to the growth in Islamic Finance in Pakistan
