Congratulations to IBA faculty member, Dr. Irum Saba for being recognized in the top 20 most influential women in Islamic Finance at WOMANi Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner held on June 17, 2019 in Dubai, UAE.

Cambridge Independent Financial Advisers (IFA), hosted the second Woman in Islamic Business and Finance (WOMANi) Awards ceremony and gala dinner to celebrate and honor influential women in Islamic Finance who are leading change, breaking barriers and creating new possibilities in the world of Islamic Finance globally.

Dr. Saba is Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Finance and Program Director, MS Islamic Banking and Finance, IBA. She has the honor to be the first Pakistani female to be part of an International Shariah advisory board in South East Asia and the Middle East. She is also a member of Grand Council of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF), Malaysia.

Previously she received recognition in the top 50 most influential women in Islamic Finance at the 1st WOMANi 2018 Awards Ceremony. She also has the honor to be the first international female to receive the Women on Board Distinction and Award for Best Young Woman Professional in 2016 by First Lady of Maldives.

The IBA Karachi recognizes Dr. Saba's valuable contributions in the field of Islamic Finance and wishes her all the best for her future endeavors.
