  • Course Description

    IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (IBA-CEIF) is off¬ering a two month weekend refresher course for "Certified Islamic Professional Accountant" (CIPA) in collaboration with Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), Bahrain. The course will cover the Auditing and Accounting section of the CIPA program. The course will be conducted by experts from AAOIFI and industry. The participants of the course will be eligible for discounts on the CIPA Exam conducted by AAOIFI.

    • The CIPA qualification aims at achieving the following objectives:
    • To develop understanding and application abilities of the requirements of the AAOFI Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) in respect of presentation of financial statements and financial reporting of Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs);
    • To ensure that candidates understand the process and techniques of carrying out the audit in accordance with the principles of accountancy as well as with the International Standards on Auditing;
