Introduction to Islamic Finance for Media Professionals – 26th July, 2016

IBA's Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance conducted a special capacity building workshop on Islamic Finance for Media Professionals on the 26th of July, 2016 at the IBA City Campus in collaboration with Meezan Bank & Centre for Journalism (CEJ). The workshop aimed to provide insight about Islamic banking concepts, local and international growth trends plus to answer any misconceptions and myths present.

Speaking at the inaugural session Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Director CEIF, welcomed the participants and highlighted the steps taken by the Centre to promote academic research & industry capacity building initiatives.

The program was concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Mahmood Shafqat, Additional Director State Bank of Pakistan, who emphasized the role of SBP for creating awareness for the growth of the industry. Mr. Kamal Siddiqui, Director of CEJ IBA was also present during the closing session.
