Introduction to Islamic Finance

IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance conducted a 3-day introductory level course to provide an understanding of Islamic finance & banking concepts, background and related Shariah principles governing Islamic finance. The participants were helped to develop an understanding of the modes of Islamic Finance and how they are applicable in modern day financial system. The course enriched with case studies and practical exercises, aimed to provide a rich learning experience to the participants, which will equip them with the required skills to explore the growing field of Islamic banking & finance.

The course featured a diverse line-up of speakers including Ms. Irum Saba, Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed, Mr. Farhan Usmani, Mufti Najeeb Ahmed Khan and others and was attended by financial industry professionals from SBP, Faysal Bank, Orix Leasing, Pak Brunei Investment Limited and many others.
