21st Nov, 2016 - IBA CEIF Delegates visit INCEIF Malaysia for Training of Trainer Program

In order to build the capacity of its faculty and collaborate in
the area of research, a group of delegates of IBA Centre for
Excellence in Islamic Finance, Karachi visited INCEIF (International
Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance), Malaysia to attend a
specialized “Training of Trainer” program in Islamic Finance. As
part of the IBA-INCEIF collaboration, the 5 day training program
will cover areas including Islamic Banking, Fiqh, Quantitative
Research for Islamic Finance, Takaful, Islamic Capital Markets,
Islamic Economics and advanced topics of research in the area of
Islamic Finance.
Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Director IBA CEIF, speaking at the occasion
stated as part of our collaboration with INCEIF, IBA CEIF would like
to facilitate students and faculty exchange between the two
institutions. Various ideas were exchanged on research
collaborations and sharing of knowledge.
Prof Dr Qazi Masood stated that greater collaborative efforts on
public policy and the role of Islamic Finance are needed at
international platforms. Associate Dean of IBA, Prof Dr. Nishat
highlighted the need for Islamic Financial Institutions to be more
outward looking. The delegation of 15 comprises of Senior Faculty
and Trainers from IBA and CEIF.
