11 IBACEIF ACSS Alumni clear the AAOIFI CSAA Examination

IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) congratulates the 11 Advanced Certificate in AAOIFI Shariah Standards (ACSS) graduates on clearing the Certified Shariah Auditors and Advisors Examination, an International Certification conducted by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).

The ACSS, a 6-month intensive course which educates Professional Bankers and Shariah Scholars on the AAOIFI Shariah Standards, is IBA CEIF's flagship course under its Practitioners' Qualification Series. Before the ACSS, Pakistan only had a total of 6 CSAA qualified professionals working within the country. 11 graduates of the ACSS batch cleared the examination, bringing the overall number of CSAA qualified professional within Pakistan up to 17, effectively tripling the talent pool.

The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) is an Islamic international autonomous non-for-profit corporate body that prepares accounting, auditing, governance, ethics and Shariah standards for Islamic Financial Institutions and the industry.

The CSAA program is designed to equip candidates with the requisite technical understanding and professional skills on Shari'ah compliance and review processes for the international Islamic banking and finance industry.
