IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance is conducting a seminar for the public awareness of the Global Halaal Markets and the opportunities for business growth locally and globally. The global halal industry is estimated to be worth around USD 4.9 trillion. Growing at an estimated annual rate of 20%, the industry is valued to be around USD 8.4 trillion by 2020. Thus, making it one of the fastest growing consumer segments in the world with a little over 1.8 billion Muslim consumers.
