February 24, 2016 AAOIFI's 1st Shariah Board Meeting at IBA CEIF

Accounting and Auditing Organization of Islamic Financial Institutions conducted its 1st Shariah Board Committee meeting (Karachi Sub-Committee) at IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance. The committee was chaired by Justice Mufti (retd.) Muhammad Taqi Usmani and its members, which included renowned Shariah scholars. Secretary General of AAOIFI, Dr. Hamed Merah and Dr. Al Saadi, Advisor AAOIFI were also present in the meeting along with Mufti Najeeb Khan, Mufti Abdullah Najeeb, Dr. Imran Usmani, Mufti Irshad Ahmed, Mufti Khalil Aazmi and Mufti Hassan Kaleem.

The AAOIFI is holding sub-committee meetings in various jurisdictions in order to develop global standards.
